Wake up! A great day is waiting for you!
Since last week, we’ve had two heavy snowy days in Tokyo. Snowy days, per se, are alright because it is winter now in Japan. However, as it’s cold in the morning, I’m unable to get out of the bed quickly. Instead, I stay longer in the warm bed, keeping my body and mind half asleep. It makes me feel very comfortable. Do you also fall into this habit these days?
But I think that’s a big problem because you can’t have a good morning. I go so far as to say you are just wasting of your ‘precious’ time, so I come up with some solutions for it.
First of all, you should turn on the heater as soon as you get out of the bed. Because it is chilly in the room, it’s necessary to warm it up so that you willingly get up and are active.
Secondly, you should change clothes at once. It’s also important to place your clothes at your bedside. Because you feel cold out of the bed, you can’t get out of it easily. So you should put on your clothes quickly and warm up your body. In changing clothes, you’ve got to put on socks, too, because you’ll feel much warmer by doing so.
And thirdly, you should cheer yourself up to get out of the bed. This is the most important tip to get rid of the habit. To be honest, you don’t feel so cold out of the bed, because you’ve been in a warm bed for several hours. Remember, you just confront with laziness. You just want to keep yourself rest. In other words, you don’t want to go to school, work, and so on. So you should encourage yourself to wake up and go, saying to yourself, “You will have a great day today so get up!”
That’s what I thought this morning in the bed. And I actually did so. Then what did I get? Well, I completed writing this essay. Now I feel very happy because I’ve done a creative activity in the morning, and also started a great day!
